College life has finally moved into the repetitious stage where the monotony and boredom sets in just as the difficulty ramps up so that's been keeping me away from writing, for the most part. Thankfully, though, I finally found the fiction section within my local on campus library and was able to check out a wide range of good literature, ranging from Cormac McCarthy's "All the Pretty Horses" to Don DeLillo's "Underworld" so hopefully my muse will be inspired by their very polished skills.
Also, I've been wondering if perhaps the way I write is behind the symptoms of writer's block that plague me on a regular schedule. I've heard from other online authors that there's a certain freedom in non-editing stream of consciousness writing but I'm still a little... unsure if that's the correct way to go, as the end product (for me at least) turns out to be something that I would rather avoid looking at. (Maybe it creates cognitive dissonance between my actual and perceived writing abilities. *eye roll*)
And that's all folks.
